THOMAS F. "TOM" MAGDICH, 72, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2013. Born Nov. 8, 1940, he was a son of the late Kalman L. and Ruth (Fritze) Magdich. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. from 1958 to 1961. He later worked and retired from International Harvester. He was active with the Flying Circuits and in his garden, especially his roses and grape arbor. He was also interested in World War II German aircraft. Surviving family include his wife of 50 years, Christine Magdich; children, Michael and Mark Magdich, Martha (Paul) Kuras, Marla (Rocky) Stotts, and Christopher Magdich; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and brothers, Richard and James Magdich. He was also preceded in passing by a brother, Robert Magdich. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2213 Brooklyn Ave., Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, with Rosary recited at 7:45 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Heartland Hospice.
