WENDELL S. MILLER, 85, passed away Monday, Feb.17, 2014 at Lutheran Life Villages at Pine Valley in Fort Wayne. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Wendell earned his masters degree in Inorganic Chemistry from Indiana University and belonged to fraternities Alpha Chi Sigma and Sigma Theta Epsilon. He was a Korean War Navy Veteran. He was a research chemist throughout his career before retiring in 1983. He was an active member at North Park Community Church and their Choir. He was an avid reader. He enjoyed music, singing, and helping the younger generation for future success. Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Evelyn J. Miller of Fort Wayne; brother, Marion Miller of Aurora, Ind.; sister, Patricia Ogenoff of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother-in-law, N. Richard (Carol) Munk of Fort Wayne; nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, James and Marie Miller. Service is 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at North Park Community Church, 7160 Flutter Road with calling one hour prior. Rev. Peter Kobe officiating. Calling also from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014 at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Burial at Lakeview Cemetery, Kendallville, Ind. Memorials may be made to the North Park Community Church Choir Fund.
