WILBUR H. HUBER, 94, passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at Coving-ton Commons in Fort Wayne. Born Jan. 10, 1919 in Dearborn County, Ind., Will was the son of Charles F. and Mary C. (Thiel-king) Huber. After graduating from Batesville H.S. in 1937 he then attended Wabash College, receiving his undergraduate degree in Chemistry in 1941. He then began his career at DuPont and enlisted in the Navy at the start of World War II and served as an officer. After the war, he received his master's degree in Chemistry from Indiana University and continued his career at DuPont. He moved to RCA in Marion, Ind. in 1951 and retired as an analytical chemist from the Findlay, Ohio plant in 1981. He was a life member of The American Chemical Society and the Society of Applied Spectroscopy. He was also a member of the Findlay Masonic Temple. He moved to Fort Wayne in 2006 where he attended Peace United Church of Christ. He loved to play golf, garden, woodwork, read, play cards, and watch sports, especially his granddaughter play basketball. He married Rosalie A. Lawson Dec. 22, 1946; she preceded him in death on Aug. 31, 1994. He is survived by his son Carl F., daughter-in-law Sarah E., beloved granddaughter, Elizabeth A. Huber; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by infant daughter, Elizabeth A. Huber; daughter, Kathrin R. Huber-Crist; his brother, Clarence F. Huber; and sisters, Ruth Walters and Edith Terry. Celebration of Life Memorial Service is 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2013 at Peace United Church of Christ, 9123 Aboite Center Rd. with calling from 2 to 4 p.m. at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road. Calling also from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 at the funeral home. Graveside Service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 at Knollcrest Cemetery in Arcadia, Ohio. Preferred memorials may be given to Wabash College.
