WILLIAM ALAN GASPER, 58, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Visiting Nurse in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, William worked for G4S at the General Motors plant. He graduated from Ivy Tech with a degree in HVAC. He was a member of Roanoke Brethren Church, Masonic Lodge, and served as a volunteer Firefighter/EMT in Roanoke. He loved his family greatly and had an impressive sense of humor. He was a hard worker, avid gardener, and a great cook. Surviving are his wife, Maureen Gasper of Roanoke; mother, Norma M. Gasper; sons, David A. and Daniel A. Gasper; daughters, Jazmine M. and Carissa A. Gasper; and grandchildren, Nevaeh, Julian, and Brianna, all of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his father, William D. Gasper; and sisters, Patricia and Kathy. Service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling one hour prior. Pastor Chris Moore officiating. Calling also from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2014 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse or Roanoke Volunteer Fire Department.
