WILLIAM E. HARTSHORN, 91, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Born July 29, 1921, in Lake Ariel, Pa., Bill worked in sales and management with various trucking companies in Milford, Conn. for 40 years, retiring in 1984. He and his wife had resided in Fort Wayne for the past 19 years. He was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church and Delta Nu Alpha Transportation Fraternity; Past President of Connecticut Quarter Century Club; and life member of V.F.W. Surviving are his loving wife of 70 years, Anne E. Hartshorn of Fort Wayne; daughter, Pamela (Don) Bradbury of Fort Wayne; son, Randy (Dawn) Hartshorn of Orange, Conn.; brother, George Hartshorn of Saylorsburg, Pa.; sister, M'Liss Smith of Stroudsburg, Pa.; and grandchildren, Laura Hartshorn, Sean Hartshorn and Sarah Bradbury, all of Connecticut. He was preceded in death by father, Samuel Hartshorn; mother, Harriet Seeley; son, William Bruce Hartshorn; brothers, Horace, Howard, Lawrence, Kenneth and Bruce Hartshorn; and sister, Florence Kunigus. Service is 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Trinity English Lutheran Church, 405 West Wayne St., with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Dr. Kathleen Haller officiating. Calling also from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2013, at D.O. McComb & Son Covington Knolls Funeral Home.
