Edward H. Buell Jr.

SOMERSWORTH - Edward H. Buell Jr., 65 of Tri City Road died at his home on Sunday February 2, 2014. Born June 14 1948 in Waterbury, Connecticut, the son of Edward H. and Mary (Kelly) Buell. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp as a Sgt. in Vietnam. He served two tours all in the DMZ from Con Thien to Khesanh. He was in many battles including operation Buffalo and several Hill fights. He received two Purple Hearts during his service in Vietnam. He was a volunteer for Special Olympics and organized toy drives for sick children and children with special needs. He also enjoyed playing Santa at local hospitals. He was also a member of the Dover Legion and the Dover Elks. Edward is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Buell and her husband Gary Shitzius of Dover; a son, Aaron Buell of Dover; two grandchildren, Huxley and Holden Schintzius; the mother of his children Dorothy Buell of Dover; his former wife Candice Buell of Somersworth; and a brother Rick Buell of Waterbury, Connecticut. He was predeceased by his two sisters Cindy Bardelli and Ellyn Babo.

Calling hours will be from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. at the Tasker Funeral Home 621 Central Ave Dover, NH on Friday February 7, 2014. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Charles Cemetery. The family would like to thank Candice Buell for all the love and support she gave Ed during his final years. They also want to thank the countless other people that helped him and supported him throughout his life.

In lieu of flowers, Ed's wish was for his friends and acquaintances to spend an hour volunteering to help someone less fortunate than themselves, young or old. If that is not possible, please donate to .
