MIMS, Florida - Kenneth "Bud" E. Stanley, 80, of Mims Florida, passed away Feb. 7,2014

He was born to the late Kenneth and Hazel Stanley, Nov. 7, 1933, of Rye.

He had two sisters, Sylvia Wixom of Raymond, Wash., and the late Joann Jameson of Reno, Nev.

Bud graduated from Dover high school in 1953, served 23 Years in the US Navy and retired in 1976. He then retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in 1996. Bud married the late Jayne "Unruh" Stanley of Portsmouth on April 5, 1959, for 54 years.

He was a loving husband and father. He loved being a salty servant with his church, fishing, camping, and playing cards. He served time with the North American Chapter of Family Campers and with the Boy Scouts of America. He spent several years traveling and spending time with his extend family.

He is survived by three children, Kenneth Stanley and wife Susan of Dover, Debra Laughlin and husband Robert of Goldsboro, N.C., and Kevin Stanley and Wife Illiana of Jacksonville, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Mim'sUnited Methodist Church on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at 11 a.m. followed by a graveside service with military honors at Oak lawn Memorial Gardens. There will be a reception after the services at Mim's Methodist Church.
