Louis G. Fournier

DOVER - Louis G. Fournier, 83, of Dover, died October 6, 2013 at the Rochester Manor.

He was born in Somersworth September 26, 1930 the son of Alex and Eva (Vanasse) Fournier.

Louis was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed membership in the American Legion and the VFW both in Portsmouth.

He retired from Prime Tanning in Berwick after 34 years of service.

Louis was a communicant of St. Martin Church in Somersworth.

He was the widower of Katherine (Remick) Fournier who died December 10, 1986.

Louis is survived by his partner, Rollande Fortin of Dover, his sisters, Rachel Moreau and Lorraine Giguere both of Rochester.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert, Norman and Donald Fournier and Madeline Gagne and Pauline Bisson.

Visitation will be Friday 10 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. in Bernier Funeral Home 49 South St. Somersworth

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in St. Martin Church, Somersworth with Rev. Raymond Moreau, Louis' nephew as celebrant.

Burial with military honors will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth.
