Nancy A. Roemer

DURHAM - Nancy A. Roemer, 76, died Thursday October 24, 2013 at her home.

Born in Boston, Mass., the daughter of John and Rita (Maher) Reilly has lived in the Durham and Dover area for most of her lifetime and was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire. She was the vice-president of the former Rowell and Watson Co. of Dover.

Nancy dedicated much of her time to improving the lives of the children in her community. She was a dedicated member of the Dover Children's Home board where she served for 32 years in various roles including president and trustee. She was also a past president and life member of the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Auxiliary and was an active volunteer at the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, as one of the founders for the children's car seat program.

She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Dover.

She is survived by her husband Ingo Roemer; her three children Ingo F. Roemer and wife Ann of Dover, Jeffrey P. Roemer and wife Dale of Dover, and Kerry A. Erwin and husband Kelii of Topsfield, Mass.: her four grandchildren Alexander and Johnathan Roemer and Kai and Kelamailani Erwin; her brother John J. Reilly, Jr. of Waitsfield, Vt. and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother Paul Reilly.

Friends are invited to call from 1:30 - 4 p.m., Thursday, November 14, at Blue Latitudes, 431 Central Ave., Dover, N.H.

There will be a private ceremony and burial for family only in St. Mary's New Cemetery, Dover.
