Nancy Lee (Ward) LaDuke

DOVER - Nancy Lee (Ward) LaDuke, of Edgar Bois Terrance died Sunday October 6, 2013 at the Hyder Family Hospice House surrounded by her family.

She was born April 3, 1939 in Rochester the daughter of Charles and Lovisia (Garland) Ward.

She worked for many years as a site manager for Meals on Wheels in Somersworth and was a cook for the American Legion Post 8 in Dover where she was renowned for her hamburgers, often having other Posts call to place special orders when she was cooking. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary, Unit 8, of Dover and Women of the Moose Dover 567.

Nancy was a very special person who loved her family and being surrounded by friends. She will be fondly remembered for her infectious laugh, love of country music and dancing. She had a big heart and always gave generously to those in need especially during the holidays where she prepared extra meals for the seniors within her apartment community.

She was predeceased by her husband Richard LaDuke, her daughter Donna Bowen, her son John Dugan, and her parents.

She is survived by three daughters Cheryl Ward of Dover, Cindy Nadeau and her husband Dean of Lebanon, Maine, Patricia Garretson and her husband Galen of Lebanon, Maine, three siblings Barbara L'Heureux of Springvale, Maine, Frank Ward of Florida, Donald Ward and his wife Dottie of Rochester, seven grandchildren Aimee' Ruel and her husband Micah of Lebanon, Maine, Stacey Heselton and her husband Devin of Lebanon, Maine, Matthew Bennett of Lebanon, Maine, Deeanna Nadeau of Lebanon, Maine, Adrienne Dwyer of Dover, John Garretson of Lebanon, Maine Marisa Garretson of Dover, three great grandchildren Connor McFarland of Lebanon, Maine, Reagan Ruel of Lebanon, Maine, Ainsley Ruel of Lebanon, Maine and her best friend Mitzie Keefe of Somersworth.

Visiting hours will be Saturday October 12, 2013 from 10 to 11 a.m. with a service to follow at 11 a.m. at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover, N.H. Burial will follow at the Cold Spring Cemetery in Rochester.
