Noel Joseph Gregoire

BERWICK, Maine - Noel Joseph Gregoire, 88 of 215 Long Swamp Road in Berwick passed away on August 24, 2014, at his home. Born in Somersworth on December 25, 1925, he was a son of the late Camille and Melina ( Lessard ) Gregoire.

He and his loving wife Mary Irene (Mayo) Gregoire lived and raised their family for many years on Indigo Hill Road in Somersworth.

Noel worked for over fifty four years at Prime Tanning and for the Kaplan Family as a machinist and in maintenance services, he retired in 1997. Most recently after the death of his wife he made his home with his daughter and son in law Priscilla and Leo where he could enjoy family and time spent with his granddaughter Nicole who cared for his daily needs.

He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army in the 80th Airborne Antiaircraft Battalion, serving in the European, African, and Middle Eastern Theaters of operation. He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans and the Somersworth American Legion Post #69.

He enjoyed his flower gardens which adorned his home on Indigo Hill Road, but his first love was his family he is survived by his daughters; Judith Gregoire of Naples , Florida, Priscilla and son in law Leo Belair of Berwick, Maine, Linda Gregoire of Somersworth and Jerine and son in law Tim Molleur of Lebanon, Maine, grandchildren; Michael and John Gregoire, Nicole Belair- Winslow, Melina Mansfield, Christopher Molleur and Jennifer Molleur Beaudet, great grandchildren; Kaili McDonald, Hannah Mansfield, Kassady Winslow, Cody Mansfield,Ciara Winslow and Anthony Grato, a daughter in law Cheryl Gregoire of Milton, and a brother Nel Gregoire of Rochester, and many neices and nephews. He was predecesed by his parents, his loving wife Irene, his son Dennis Gregoire, sisters Albertine Lajoie and Blanche Gervais and brothers Phil, Del, Paul and Raymond Gregoire.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Martins Church with Fr. Michael Taylor as celebrant on Friday at 11 a.m. with a time of refreshment and sharing to follow in the church parish hall. Care for the Gregoire family has ben entrusted to the Bernier Funeral Home.
