Robert W. Bruyere

LEBANON - Robert William Bruyere, 62, of Lebanon, died unexpectedly on April 13, 2014, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Robert was born on Nov. 10, 1951, to Paul A. and Dorothy M. (Cullen) Bruyere in Dover, N.H., where he grew up and attended local schools, graduating from Dover High School in 1969. He attended RETS (Radio Electronic Television School, Inc.), graduating in 1971, in Boston.

Following graduation, he served in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1973.

Robert was a member of Sons of The American Revolution.

He was also an avid stamp collector and a member of the York County Stamp Club.

He was very involved with Victims, Inc., a charitable organization in East Rochester, N.H., for many years. Most people who knew Bob were greeted with a smile, good conversation, and a helping hand to those in need. He will truly be missed.

Surviving are his wife, Janet (Steele) Bruyere, of Lebanon; two sons, Andrew Witham Bruyere, of Lebanon, and William Jesse Bruyere and his fiancee, Micheal Anne Smith, of Lebanon; a daughter, Christina Aderena Bruyere, of Springvale; a brother, Paul A. Bruyere, of Clearwater, Fla.; three sisters, Judith Bruyere Coyman, of Dover, N.H., Annette (Bruyere) Pierce. of Clearwater, Fla., and Sally (Bruyere) Cote, of Dover, N.H.; many nieces and nephews; and several beloved grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 23, at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home at 580 Main Street in Springvale. Interment followed at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale.
