Ronald A. Mercier

DOVER - Ronald A. Mercier, 73 of Farmington, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 14, 2014, at the Hyder Family Hospice House.

He was born in Dover on May 11, 1940, the son of the late Mr. Albert Mercier and Pricilla Bruyere.

Ronald was raised in Dover and served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps. and worked as a roofer for over 30 years.

Ron was an avid golfer, and cherished the times on the golf course with his brothers and friends. He enjoyed family cookouts, long nights by the fire listening to Bob Segar, playing cards, and spoiling his grandchildren, most of all spending time with his family, his family meant the world to him. Ron was the most kind hearted, giving man whom would often go without in order to give to others. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone.

He is survived by two loving daughters Michelle Mercier and her fiance Tracey Frisbee of Rochester, Nina Rabideau and her husband Matt of New Durham, A son Stephen Mercier of Dover, six grandchildren. His adoring sister Janet Litvinchyk and husband Alan of North Berwick, Maine. His brothers, Tony Mercier and wife Sue of Wells, Maine, Al Mercier of Fla., Tom Mercier and wife Deb of Maine. many nieces and nephews, and many close friends.

He was pre deceased by his Mother Pricilla Bruyere and father Albert Mercier. His Brothers Peter Mercier of Dover, Bruce Mercier of Dover, Greg Mercier of Lebanon, Maine.

A private celebration of life will be held for friends and family at a later date.
