Warren A. Lingard

ROCHESTER - Warren A. Lingard, 74, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital following a period of failing health, surrounded by his family members.

Born Nov. 11, 1938, in Strafford, he was the son of the late Rexford and Ruth (Howard) Lingard.

He grew up in Strafford and later moved to Rochester for 50 years with his wife Annie.

Mr. Lingard served in the US Air Force at Pease for 12½ years. While there he served for a year in the Vietnam War. After leaving the service he went to work for Moore Business Forms and Harris Graphics for 30 years and also worked at Thompson Center Arms for 3 years before retiring.

Warren was a member of the Crown Point Grange #65 for many years.

He enjoyed being with his family for the holidays, birthdays, cookouts and many other events. He loved doing things with his grandchildren. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Surviving members are his wife of 50 years Annie Lingard of Rochester; two sons, Brian Lingard and wife Lori of Shrewsbury, Mass., and Robert Lingard and wife Julieann of Rochester; four grandchildren, Ashlee Lingard and partner Danny of Derry, Alexander Lingard and wife Allison of Rochester, Spencer and Wyatt Lingard of Shrewsbury, Mass.

He was predeceased by his sister, Gertrude Goodwin, and brother, Wayne Lingard.

Family and friends may visit Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, from 10-11 a.m. at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. Rochester, N.H.

A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.

Burial will take place in the Crown Point Cemetery in the spring
