William Michael Audette

NEWMARKET - William "Bill" Michael Audette passed on Dec. 9, 2012. He graduated from Newmarket High School in Newmarket, N.H. in 1945. Bill served in the U.S. Navy, 1945-1946, and worked his way up from a laborer/cleaner to production superintendent at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, in a career that spanned 31 years. Bill was an avid golfer, shot his age 23 times with four holes-in-one. He was an armchair participant of all sports.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Oreen (Loukes) Audette; son, Michael William of Pinellas Park, Fla.; daughter, Janice P. (Audette) Tinkham and husband Norman B. Tinkham of Millis, Mass.; two sisters, Marjorie Bickford of Newmarket, and Peggy Chagnon of Pittsfield; along with nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by brothers Richard and Robert.

A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at 11 a.m. at National Cremation and Burial Society, 3453 Hancock Bridge Parkway, N. Fort Myers, Fla.
