Obituary

Mr. Price Lewis, III, of Houston, Texas, died Sunday, November 11, 2012. He was born in Utica, New York on December 28, 1951 and was the oldest son of the late Captain Price Lewis, Jr. and of Dorothy Brennan Lewis of Thurmont, Maryland. He was the grandson of the late Dr. Price Lewis, of Holland Patent, New York.

He graduated from Catoctin High School and attended Mount St. Mary's College in Maryland. Price began his career in 1975 implementing computerized scheduling and reporting systems for engineer- ing and construction projects in Fairbanks for the Alaskan pipeline, followed by similar work in Tehran for the Iranian pipeline. He then returned to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, where he worked as a Project Analyst. In 1986, he became a Senior Software Engineer for Unisys Corporation where he began working at the NASA, Johnson Space Center in Houston. He worked in several positions there and at the time of his death was the Principal Systems Analyst for Barrios Corporation.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy B. Lewis; his sister Deidre Anne Lewis- Boswell and Alan; his brother Christopher James Lewis and Anne Marie and their children

Nathaniel and Gloria; his brother Brendan Connors Lewis and Phyllis and their children Brendan II and Nicholas; his brother Floyd Brennan Lewis and his chil- dren Floyd Jr. and Clara; and by his nephews Thomas Lewis, Jr., Ian Lewis II and Jacob Lewis.

He was pre-deceased by his father and two brothers, Thomas Reynolds Lewis and Ian Llewelyn Lewis.

Price is also survived by his long-time girlfriend, Nancy Nelson Ray, and by a wonderful and loving circle of friends who took turns staying with him, 24 hours a day, from Oct. 31, when he was admitted into Vitas Hospice, until the day he died.

A memorial service, fol- lowed by a reception, was held on December 8 at 3 PM at the Unity Church of Houston, located at 2929 Unity Drive in Houston, Texas.

A memorial and commitment service will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Emmitsburg, Maryland on December 15 at 11 AM, followed by a lunch in the church hall. Price will be committed with his brothers in Mount St. Mary's Cemetery in Emmitsburg.
