Ron Stottlemyer Obituary
Ron Stottlemyer, age 66, went to be with the lord on Monday, January 27, 2014 at his home.

Born April 13, 1947 in Sabillasville, he was the son of Otha and Isabel (Hays) Stottlemyer.

He is survived by his wife Sara Stottlemyer and Petie (Love Bird) who kept him company during

the day. Three sisters, Linda and husband Denny Stitely, Patsy and husband Buster Harne and

Laura and husband David Wallace all of Smithsburg. Three children, son, Ronald Lee and wife

Tracy Stottlemyer of Smithsburg, daughters Kim and husband Mark Marker of Hagerstown and

Rhonda and husband Jamie Wright of Thurmont.

7 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.

He was a member of Garfield United Methodist Church and attended Emmanuel United Methodist


He was a member of South Mountain Rod & Gun Club, Blue Ridge Sportsman's, Son's of the

American Legion, Eagles Club and Moose Club.

Ron loved to hunt and take Caribbean cruises.

Services will be held Friday, January 31, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. from J.L. Davis Funeral Home,

Smithsburg with Pastor Randy Reid officiating. Burial will be in the Garfield United Methodist


The family will receive friends and family Thursday evening from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral

home. The funeral home will open at 9:00 A.M.
