Sam was born in Rainelle, West Va., on November 22, 1932, to Antonio and Mary Corso. He went to sleep and woke up in the presence of his granddaughter and the Lord on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, in Fresno, Ca. He was one of nine children. Sam was a Mortorman in the United States Army. Sam served as a Police Officer at Tracy Police Dept. He was employed at Herb Bowers for 40 plus years, he was the manager of the gun department as a Gun Specialist. Sam was a volunteer with the Fresno Police Dept. (Citizen on Patrol), he loved country music, fishing, hunting, the Military Channel, and playing the slots at the local casinos. Most of all he was the best Daddy and loved his family very much. Sam was preceded in death by his two brothers, Tony and Pat Corso. He is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Renee Corso Wiley of Fresno, Ca., and Tara Corso Hollenbeck and her husband Rick of Visalia, Ca.; He was the grandfather of twins, Jordan Thomas and Alyssa Danielle Wiley. His is also survived by his siblings, two brothers, Jim and Andy Corso, four sisters, Josie Silva, Mary Garson, Pam Hillburn and Theresa Elliot; he also leaves 32 nieces; and nephews. Visitation will be held at Boice Funeral Home, on Thursday, June 13, 2013; from 11:00 a.m until 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at New Harvest Community Church, on Friday, June 14, at 11:00 a.m. Remembrances may be made to the Hinds Hospice Home, 1616 W.
