Charles Lee (Chuck) Bolton, 85, of Friendswood passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014 peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his family. He was born in Edinburg, TX to the late Louise and Leland Bolton. Chuck graduated from Wharton High School and received a bachelor's degree in business from Texas Tech. He served in the United States Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant touring in Germany and North Africa during the Korean War. Chuck was married to his loving wife Dolores (Dolly) Trigg on June 11, 1955 and they were married 58 years. In 1964 he and his wife moved to Friendswood and raised their family there. Chuck worked as a Senior Power Consultant for Houston Lighting and Power for 34 years. His hobbies included gardening, fishing, small engine repair, and investing. Chuck is survived by his wife Dolly and his three children: Carolyn Skarzynski and her husband Jim of Richmond, TX; David Bolton and his wife Leah Ann of Alvin, TX; and Louise O'Brien and her husband David of Los Alamos, NM. Six grandchildren: Steven Bolton and wife Karen; Greg Bolton and wife Lauren; Daniel Bolton; Jeff Skarzynski; James O 'Brien; Julia O'Brien; and one great-grandchild--Elizabeth Bolton. Also surviving is his sister Sara Ezell of Austin, TX., nephew Bruce Ezell and niece Sylvia Meier. The family would like to thank his loving caregivers: Mary, Sam, and Lupe. Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Oak Park Funeral Home. The funeral service was held at Oak Park Funeral Home, 300 Oak Park Dr., Alvin, TX. 77511, (281)331-8217 on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Brent Burckart officiating. Interment followed at the Oak Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Steven Bolton, Greg Bolton, Daniel Bolton, Jeff Skarzynski, James O'Brien, Bruce Ezell, John Lowe, and Jim Harkrider.
