Connie Jeske Blumenthal October 13, 1946 – September 24, 2013 Preceeded in death by her mother and father, Verna and Ray Newman, she is survived by her only son, Michael Raymond Jeske and his wife, Robin; sister, Karen (Dale) Graham; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and two nephews. She also leaves behind her best friend, Susie and her children. Connie worked for Choice Hotels International for many years and was a dedicated employee and will be sadly missed. Connie dedicated her life volunteering for numerous organizations some of which include the cancer societies; City of Hope, and Community Hospital, Thunder Mountain Tavern, and The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 595 and The Eagle Riders. She was the treasurer for the Eagle Riders and a breast cancer survivor. No matter what position needed to be filled Connie was always the first volunteer; from cooking or providing the food to the clean up crew. It did not matter to Connie as long as she was involved. She was a great recruiter for The Eagles and The Eagle Riders. She was always there for anything anyone might need, from just listening to giving advice. She really did dedicate her life to "People helping People". Memorial Service is scheduled on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at The Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1674 US Hwy. 50 Grand Junction, CO. Donations can be made to City of Hope-Susan B Komen-Community Hospital-Eagles Aerie FOE 595.
