Wanda Irene Rosenthal September 17, 1948 – November 1, 2012 Wanda Irene Rosenthal of Grand Junction, CO, died November 1, 2012, in her home. She was 64 years old. Wanda was born September 17, 1948, in Glenwood Springs, CO, to John and Estaleen Artaz. She surrounded herself with the things she loved, family, children and animals. Wanda spent her free time with her family and her home was a sanctuary for her furry friends. She was an elementary school teacher, who touched the lives of the children she felt honored to teach. Although Wanda's life was cut short here, it continues on in the arms of her loving Savior. She has left her fingerprints on the hearts of many and will be remembered for her generous spirit and love for life. Wanda instantly befriended everyone she met, and no matter what the circumstances, she left you with a smile, her laughter and quirky sense of humor. Although Wanda never focused on material gains for herself, she was generous to a fault with everyone, especially those she knew and loved. Wanda is survived by her husband, Robert Rosenthal of Los Gatos, CA; her children, Peter Rosenthal of Grand Junction, CO, and Jon Damon Spencer, of Austin, TX; her parents, John and Estaleen Artaz of Fruita, CO; sister, Susan Gibson (Rob Gibson) of Brodhead, WI; step-children, Robert E. Rosenthal of Roseville, CA, and Diane Johnson of AZ. Services to be held at Fruita United Methodist Church on November 7th, with a viewing at 12 noon, and services beginning at 1:00 p.m. A meal will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to: Roice-Hurst Humane Society.
