Wesley J. Schneider
September 21, 1967 - February 24, 2014

After a three year battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones, Wes arrived at Heaven's Gate, no doubt with a smile, greeting friends and family he had lost along life's journey.
Wes was born in Honolulu, HI, and is survived by his parents, Leatrice and Gary Beach from Grand Junction, and John Schneider also from Grand Junction. Wes spent his childhood in Leadville, CO and graduated from Lake County High School in 1985. He joined The Marines Corps shortly thereafter and embarked down a very fun and rewarding life.
Wes was employed at the Colorado Department of Transportation, a job that he enjoyed, plowing snow and keeping the roads safe for loved ones. Wes enjoyed watching the Broncos, Colorado Rockies, hunting, fishing and camping with family and friends. In addition to his family and friends, Wes loved the Marine Corps, westerns, Star Trek, his dogs, dancing, raising heck and his horse Gus.
Wes is also survived by his three daughters, Jessica (Hunter) Maxwell; McKayla (Eric) Frisch, and Emily Schneider; brother, Kane (Heather) Schneider, and sisters, Merisa (Scott) Ankenman, and Tenelle Wolff; a niece, several nephews, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and his very good friend, Dani Riddle. Wes was preceded in death by his sister, Dana Schneider; his grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life (informal) will held on Saturday March 1, 2014, at the Eagles Aerie 595 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 1674 Hwy. 50.
