Obituary Condolences

You may have wondered as a bright light quickly dimmed in Southern Arizona on Friday, May 30, 2014. This was the passing of our family's loving and adored husband, father and grandfather, Charles Field.

Charley loved living an abundant life filled with precious family and friends as he discovered and participated in Arizona culture and outdoor adventures; a man determined to, and he did, exceptionally plan and execute all his jobs and tasks; contributing his time and efforts toward special organizations throughout Arizona. Charles worked his way out of Chicago's Southside to become a University of Arizona graduate in metallurgical engineering; working on projects from the SR-71 Blackbird to JFK's "Operation Quick Fix Death Limo" to NASA's Apollo Programs.

Charley was a courageous renaissance man who lived his life with faith, integrity, dignity, respect and a kind heart; along with the tremendous fun that came with his wonderful sense of humor. We miss Charley terribly and we will cherish forever our memories filled with his love, laughter, wisdom, fascinating stories and generous heart. The light dimming in Southern Arizona quickly rose to shine within the True Light and Arms of our Heavenly Father. We thank you LORD for Charley's life and for YOUR gift in taking him HOME so quickly and in peace.

Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Genevieve; and his father, Euell Charles Field. Survivors include his devoted wife Barbara, his daughter Lynda, his son Scott and his grandson T.C. The family will celebrate Charley's life at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at The Evangelical Free Church in Green Valley at the address below. Phone number is: 520-648-6781.
