Richard L (Dick) Converse was born August 2, 1932 and died January 30, 2014 in Green Valley, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years , Mary Jo in 2002. He is survived by his companion of ten years, Anne Harris, his three children, Kari Houlihan, Richard Jr. and David, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Dick was always active in his community. He founded the Waseca Minnesota youth Hockey Association, was a Rotarian, a Red Cross Director and started a remote Platelet Collection Program in Green Valley. He was an officer in Desert Meadows III HOA, was in the GV Fire Corps, Coordinator of Green Valley Telecare, was in the Marine Corps League and the Elks Club. He loved the out-of-doors and he hunted, fished, gardened and hiked with the Green Valley Hiking club. He moved to Green Valley in 1986 as vice president of operations with a major electronic manufacturing firm, one of many moves during that dynamic period. He lived in, did business in, traveled through or vacationed in all fifty states plus Canada and Mexico.

His cremains will be scattered by his children high in Madera Canyon next to those of Mary Jo and in full view of Green Valley.
