Gainesville - Frank S. Beazlie, Sr., 85, passed away, April 21, 2014, at his home in Gainesville, FL. Mr. Beazlie was born on September 27th 1928 to Robert H. and Rhoda Beazlie in Shamrock, FL.

Mr. Beazlie lived most of his life in Gainesville and was a member of the University City Church of Christ. Mr. Beazlie worked for Southern Bell, University of Florida, General Electric, retired electrician and air compressor repairman. Mr. Beazlie served in the Navy, Army and retired from the Army Reserve as Master sergeant in 1988.

Mr. Beazlie is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert, Edwin, George, sisters, Myra, Florence, Rhoda Mae and Foster son, Jack Manning. Mr. Beazlie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Annetta Mikell; son Frank Jr. (Jennie), daughters Emily Banks (Robert) and Jan Carr (Jimmy); daughter-in-law Nan Manning; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grand children.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 26th at 11:00am at University City Church of Christ. Internment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to University City Church of Christ mission works.
