'DICK', 79
Hawthorne - Glenn Richard 'Dick' Hudson, age 79 of Hawthorne, FL passed away on Wednesday August 6, 2014 in Gainesville, FL. Dick was born October 2, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Ray and Helen Hudson.
He served in the United States Army Signal Corps during the Korean War. Dick graduated from the University of Florida and worked as an engineer for the City of Gainesville until his retirement. Later he did private consulting work for contractors installing residential air conditioning. He loved horseshoes and would frequently hold tournaments at his lake place. He loved the Florida Gators and was a lifetime Cincinnati Reds fan.
He is survived by his daughter Beth E. Moore (Todd), a son Clay W. Hudson, three grandchildren, and two sisters Katherine Archambo and Lynda Counts.
