Gainesville - Harriet E. Murray, of Gainesville, passed in her sleep on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. She was 75. She was born in Sharon, CT, and has been in the Gainesville area for 36 years. She worked as a medical assistant for Dr. Mullee for 10 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading and doing crossword puzzles. Harriet was also an avid Gator fan. She was the loving mother of Doug Werk, Debra Sheppard, and Christine Baxley; and a loving grandmother to Nicole, Scott, Jaime, Dougie, Dustin, Lauren and Sydney; and a loving great grandmother to Hayden, Kaylee, and Georgia. She was also a loving sister to Iris Gassaway and Whitey Parlin.
