Our beloved Ruby, Age 62 of Gainesville, Florida passed away peacefully on the morning of February 5, 2013.

A Native of Tallahassee, Florida, Ruby Mae Lewis was born on July 21, 1950. She was a 1968 Graduate of Miami Jackson, Senior High School. She was married to Johnny Moore, Sr. on March 19, 1971. She lived in Alachua County most of her life and was a faithful Member of the Southeast Tenth Avenue Church of Christ. She worked as an Office Manager at the University of Florida before becoming the Owner (along with her Husband) of Ruby's - A Great Place To Eat (located at 308 NW 5th Ave, Gainesville). A lover of Gospel Music, she was a former Member of The Singing Voices and a current Member of the C.A.M.A. Award Winning Group, True Harmony.

Her Parents - Ernest Sr. & Mary Lewis and Brother - Ernest Lewis, Jr. preceded her in death.

Ruby is survived by her Husband (of 41 years) - Johnny Moore, Sr. of Gainesville, FL; Children - LaTosha Wilson of Weatherford, TX, Johnny Moore Jr., Michelle Moore, and Melanie Acosta (& Antoine) of Gainesville, FL and Michael Moore (& Angel) of Racine, WI; Sister - Dorothy Osikorobia of Gainesville, FL; Brother - Donald Lewis of Fort White, FL; 8 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; And a host of In-Laws, Nieces & Nephews, Cousins, & Friends.

Funeral Services will be held 12:00PM, Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Southeast Tenth Avenue Church of Christ (Gainesville, FL) with Bro Al Jackson delivering the Eulogy. Interment will follow at Starke-Nelson Cemetery (Campville, FL). Mrs. Moore will be viewed at the Funeral Home Friday 2:00-7:00PM - At the Church on Saturday 30 Minutes prior to the Services - And with the Processional. The Procession will form at Mr. & Mrs. Moore's residence, 1943 NE 15th Terr, Gainesville, at 11:15AM.
