Keystone Heights - Michael K. Hintz, 60, of Keystone Heights, FL, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at home surrounded by his family.

He was born on September 21, 1953, in Leer, Germany, the son of Herbert Hintz and the late Marga Hintz. He was the oldest of three siblings who include Rita (Hintz) Newnan and Frank Hintz.

He attended C.W. Post College in Long Island, New York, and later graduated from the University of Florida, College of Pharmacy in 1996. He married his wife, Christine Hintz, on October 9, 1976.

Some of Michael's favorite hobbies were golfing with friends at Keystone Golf and Country Club, hiking, traveling and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Christy; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Nathan McKnight; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Amalia Hintz, sons, Mark Hintz and Kyle Hintz; grandson, Leo Hintz; siblings, Rita (Hintz) Newnan and Frank Hintz; nephews and niece, Jim and Joe Schueller and Lilia and William Hintz; and father, Herbert Hintz.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Keystone United Methodist Church on Thursday, January 23, 2014, at 3 pm. Arrangements in the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.
