Charles "Chuck" Anderson passed away April 14, 2014. Mr. Anderson was born to Carl and Annabelle Anderson in Hebron, Nebraska in 1939.

An ambitious child, Charles graduated from high school at age 16. Shortly thereafter, he was employed as the manager/repairman/operator at his brother John's rural telephone exchange in Alvo, Nebraska while simultaneously completing his Bachelor's degree in business from the University of Nebraska.

After graduating Charles served in the Army, then the Air Force attaining the rank of Captain. In 1972 he was awarded a Bronze star among other decorations for service in Vietnam. Following his military service he ventured into various business enterprises for a few years, after which he entered into management at Texaco and Shell Oil where he retired in 2005.

Those who knew him loved his gentle ways and sense of humor. In his final 8.5 years, he lived with and helped care for his elder sister.

He is survived by his sister Fidella, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Military honoring services and interment to be held at Fort Logan National cemetery, staging area B, in Denver, on May 16, 2014 at 12:30PM.
