Dr. Winn, devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away surrounded by loved ones. Dr. Winn, son of Brig. Gen. Winn (USAF) and Mary Jean Winn, graduated from Princeton University with a BS in Engineering in 1976, and Case Western Reserve Dental School in 1980 and was commissioned an Ensign in the US Navy. In 1983 he settled with his family in Colorado Springs.

Dr. Winn devoted his life to his patients and was passionate about improving the dental experience. He was widely sought as an instructor in the use of lasers. David was an insatiable reader, skilled sailor, enjoyed house boating on Lake Powell and motorcycle touring, and was active at Village Seven Presbyterian Church (V7PC).

David married Lois Christine Self in 1978. He is survived by Lois, their sons Christopher Capt/USMC and Alexander Maj/USAF, daughter Jennifer, daughters-in-law Amanda and Carolyn, son-in-law Jack Dougherty LT/USN, 5 grandchildren; and siblings Frank, Peter, Elizabeth Hallier and sister-in-law Sandy Winn.

Services will be at V7PC in Colorado Springs at 2 PM on Thursday, 17 April. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Choir Fund at V7PC.
