Mary was born on Feb. 20, 1941 in Evergreen, Alabama. She was educated in the Pensacola, FL School System. Mary and her husband of 54 years, Arthur Moore, a U.S. Air Force Airman, were married in 1959.

The Moore's military tours began at Hanscom AFB in Boston, Massachusetts. From there they traveled to Tokyo and the Philippines, where Mary was crowned Mrs. Airman Wives Sweetheart. Continuing to Seymour Johnson AFB, NC and Zwiebrucken, Germany where Mary was selected Worthy Matron of the Betty J. Murphy Chapter Order of Eastern Stars. The final assignment was Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs where they made their home and joined Friendship Baptist Church.
Survivors are her loving husband, Arthur Moore; children, Anthony, Gina and Kevin; three grandchildren, one great grandson; her mother, Willie Mae Robbins; two brothers, four sisters, one sister-in-law, one aunt and a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life for Mary Moore will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014, 10am at Friendship Baptist Church, 633 E. Dale St., Colorado Springs, CO 80903, Pastor Eddie W. Ryals Jr., Officiating. Visitation is Thursday, May 15, 2014, from 4-7pm, Angelus Chapel, 1104 South Circle Dr., Colorado Springs, CO. Interment, Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO.
