Las Vegas, NV —Irma Wipperman, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed into our Lord's hands, Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013 after a long struggle with COPD. She was born May 29, 1937 to Carl and Polly (Nicholson) Gustafson of Rudyard, MT and was the 3rd of four children. After graduating from high school she married Robert Blake of Hingham, MT where they farmed and were blessed with three children. In 1977 Irma moved to Great Falls and met the love of her life, Alfred Wipperman, whom she married. She worked at several retail stores before opening her own store, Bangles, specializing in costume jewelry. She was a member of the BPOE 214 women's club. Irma loved bowling, golf, playing cards, and the game of Yahtzee. She loved life and was friends with everyone. Irma's motto was "fix your hair and put on your makeup, you will feel better". Her husband's job took them to Helena, MT in 1988. There she worked as a clerk for Fish, Wildlife and Parks and the MT State Retirement Division. After retirement in 1998, they moved to Las Vegas, NV where the warm dry climate was easier on her breathing.
Irma was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Polly Gustafson, Sister Helen age 4, and stepson, Les Wipperman. Irma is survived by her loving husband of 35 years Al; 4 children: Jody Rocks (Kevin) of Great Falls, MT, Randall Blake of Missoula, MT, Scott Blake of Missoula, MT, and stepdaughter Melanie Griffith (Patrick) of Missoula, MT; two brothers, Leonard Gustafson (Norma) of Richland, WA and Willard (Ophelia) Gustafson of Rudyard, MT; 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild; and her loving Pomeranian, Bingo. Irma will be dearly missed by everyone that knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held in Montana at a later date. The family is requesting any donations be made to the
