Neuman, Arnold Joseph

Arnold Joseph Neuman, 90, Fayetteville, Ark., died Aug. 9, 2014, in Fayetteville. He was born July 19, 1924, in Green Bay, Wis., to Arnold and Gertrude Neuman. Arnold is a World War II Veteran. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers and was part of four invasions in the South Pacific Theatre. He was married to Joyce Gagnon in 1943, mother of his four daughters and remarried Winona White, mother of his two step-children, in 1989. Arnold retired from McClellan AFB in Sacramento, Calif., as an aircraft painter. He is a lifetime member of the VFW.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Richard Neuman, a sister, Arletta Lamert, a granddaughter, Courtney Cheney, and his wives. He is survived by daughters, Suzanne (Clay) Meyer, Deborah (Steve) Tanner, Mari Kral and Lisa Neuman; two step-children, Eric Grienier and Kim Gilmet; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Arnold is also survived by one sister, Patricia Hansen; and one brother, Donald Neuman.

A very special Thank you to John Hansen of the Hansen Family Funeral Home of Green Bay Wis. A visitation was held at East Lawn Mortuary, Sacramento, Calif. Services on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, 11 a.m. at Calvary Catholic Cemetery Chapel, Sacramento, Calif.
