Peck, Bernardine M. "Bernie"

Bernardine M. "Bernie" (Rampson) Peck, 98, Green Bay, passed away with her loving daughters by her side on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 in Marco Island, FL. She was born October 1, 1915, in Milwaukee to Rudolph and Anna (Wasicek) Rampson. Bernie earned her Bachelor's Degree in Teaching from the Milwaukee State Teacher's College in 1936. She continued her education at UW - Madison and earned her Master's Degree in 1945. On December 1, 1945, she married Lloyd Peck at St. Jude Catholic Church in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on September 4, 1978.

Bernie was an elementary school teacher in Maple Grove, Sturgeon Bay and Milwaukee. After Bernie's retirement she enjoyed playing cards and social networking. She was a member of the Metallic Club and St. Jude Parish. For many decades, Bernie enjoyed spending time in Siesta Key and Marco Island, FL. Bernie loved spending time with her family and loved knitting afghans for her grandchildren.

She will be missed by her two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara and Michael Long, Patricia Rondeau; four grandchildren, Beth Long, Patrick (Bridget) Long, Christopher Rondeau, Anne (Caleb) Dahl; four great-grandchildren, Ezra, Phinehas and Magdalene Dahl and Theodore Long; one brother, Paul Rampson; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; a son, Richard Brian Peck; a son-in-law, Ronald Rondeau; two sisters, Sr. Mary Marcellette, Marcella Rampson; a sister-in-law, Joyce Rampson.

Friends may call at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1420 Division St., from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, November 2. The Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Bernie's name to benefit one of her many favorite charities.
