Neitzel, Bonnie (Flynn)

Bonnie (Flynn) Neitzel, 95, Green Bay, died Saturday, November 16, 2013. She was born on September 5, 1918, in Beloit, WI to Edmund and Agnes Flynn.

Bonnie moved to Chicago in 1922 after the death of her father. She graduated from Alverna High School, Class of 1936. In 1940, Bonnie graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Art. She also studied at the Art Institute of Chicago. Bonnie met her future husband, George Neitzel in 1945 when they both worked for A.O. Smith. They married on June 22, 1946.

In 1949, they moved to Green Bay. Bonnie received her teaching certificate from St. Norbert College and then taught at Danz School for many years. George and Bonnie enjoyed travelling and golfing and spent 16 winters in Sun Lakes, AZ.

Bonnie is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and David Moore, Green Bay; and Patty and Don Langley, Oakdale, MN; four grandchildren, Anne (Alex) Oestreicher, Daniel (Kelly) Moore, Mark Peaslee and his wife, Angie Taylor, Luke (Ali) Peaslee; two great grandchildren, Cullen Peaslee and Emmerson Peaslee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George "Bud"; a son, Charles; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mildred Tarrence, Jane Neitzel, Abbot John Neitzel O.Praem, Mary Ellen Endres; her parents, Edmund and Agnes Flynn Kand; and her stepfather, Charles Kand.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 27. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Patrick C. Beno officiating. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
