Clifford Tarkowski, 86, a longtime Green Bay area resident, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014. He was born September 14, 1927, to John and Viola (Wilkowski) Tarkowski. On June 24, 1950, Clifford married Irene Hasseler. Irene preceded him in death January 8, 2012.
Clifford served his country in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1947 and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #3. He retired after a career with the U.S. Postal Service in 1988, and was a member of the N.A.L.C. Union. Clifford enjoyed fishing, bowling, and playing cards.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff and Jamie (Carol) Tarkowski; two daughters, Linda and Peggy Tarkowski; a grandson, Tony Tarkowski; a brother-in-law, Gene Hasseler; nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; six sisters and four brothers.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, 645 S. Irwin Ave. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Fr.
