Dale H. Wussow

Dale Herbert Wussow, age 67 of Bonduel, was called to Heaven after a courageous four year battle with cancer on Monday, November 4, 2013. He was surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his own home. Born on January 17, 1946 in Shawano, he was the son of the late Herbert and Laura (Schroeder) Wussow. After graduating from Bonduel High School, Dale furthered his education with a degree from the Agriculture Short Course at the University of Wisconsin Madison. On June 3, 1972 he was united in marriage to Linda Brodhagen at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel. The couple lived and farmed on the Wussow Family Homestead Century Farm in the Town of Hartland. In recent years, Dale cash cropped and did custom work with his nephew, Ron Wussow and brother, Robert. For approximately twenty years or more, Dale participated in the following activities; Zion United Methodist Dartball, Shawano Co. 4-H Leader as past president, bowling, Town of Hartland Fire Department as past secretary, Town of Hartland Supervisor, and served on agricultural boards like ASCS and Mid County Coop. Dale was blessed with many lifelong friends and a loving family. He liked playing cards with the same couples on New Year's Eve for almost 40 years. Dale also loved going up north to the cabin and fishing. He was extremely proud of his children and will be greatly missed by his grandsons.

Dale is survived by: his wife of 41 years, Linda; 2 daughters, Rachel Wussow of Green Bay, Sarah (Mike) Dalton of Naples, FL; a son, Daniel (Teri) Wussow of Bonduel; his grandsons, Brody, Ryley and Cory Wussow all of Bonduel; a sister, Elaine Bergsbaken of Bonduel; a brother, Robert (Sharon) Wussow of Bonduel; sister-in-law, Fern Wussow of Green Bay; and brothers-in-law, Bruce (Lynn) Brodhagen of Shawano and Jim (Kelly) Brodhagen of Appleton. Dale is further survived by: nieces and nephews, Lori, Lynda, Christine, Dennis, Ron, Rich, Ryan, Adam, Ryan, Erin, Jimmy, Tony, Sam; and special Godchildren, Ron Wussow, Deric Czarapata, Erin Van Oss and Tammy Korab.

Dale was preceded in death by: his parents, Herbert and Laura; a brother, LeRoy; sister-in-law and nieces, Barbara, Lynne and Lou Ann; brother-in-law, Roger Bergsbaken; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Mary Lou Brodhagen.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with the Rev. Timothy Shoup officiating. Burial will be in the Zion United Methodist Cemetery in the Town of Hartland. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 4:00-8:00pm and on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of the service. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorial funds have been established. Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
