Wallschleager, Edward "Bud"

Edward "Bud" H. Wallschleager, age 93, of Ashwaubenon, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at his home. He was born on July 17, 1921 in Wisconsin to the late Harry and Myrtle (Riemer) Wallschleager. Ed married Margaret Patton on June 20, 1953 in Green Bay. She preceded him in death on March 14, 1996.

Ed was a proud World War II veteran and a member of VFW Nobel-Straubel Post #2037. Ed was given the opportunity to visit the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C. on the Old Glory Honor Flight; it was his first time flying at the age of 90 years old. Some of his fondest memories are those bowling and golfing with his brothers-in-laws and friends. Ed was also a long time member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church.

He is survived by his sons, David of Green Bay, Mark (Rebecca) of Suamico; a daughter, Joan Becks of Suamico; his grandchildren, Amber (Brian) Schermitzler, Andrea (Eric) Stanke, Nathan (Brittney Maas) Wallchleager and Ryan Wallschleager and his four great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Ava, Vivian, and Gavin. Ed is survived by many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Ed was preceded in death by his step-mother, Agnes.

Visitation for Ed will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida Street, with the Rev. John Harper officiating. Full military honors will follow. Entombment will be held at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Online condolences maybe expressed at www.lyndahl.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Ed's name.
