Lambert, Gerald G.
Gerald G. "Jerry" Lambert, 92, a lifelong Green Bay resident died Wednesday, September 18, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 3, 1921, to the late August and Theresa (Kaster) Lambert. Jerry served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1942-1947. On March 2, 1946, he married June Nick at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and together they raised a famiy of six children. June preceded him in death Dec. 31, 1994. He later married Lorraine Vincent.
Jerry worked as a firefighter and mechanic for the Green Bay Fire Department retiring after 28 years of service. He began a second career as a locksmith, working into his 80's. After retirement, he took up the hobby of golf which he thoroughly enjoyed. Jerry was a member of the Moose Lodge and St. Mary of the Angels Parish.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Vincent; six children and their spouses, Dale and Carol, Bruce and Darlene, Maggie and Dave DeMuth, Wayne and Cindy, Chris and Stephanie, and Kevin; ten grandchildren, Christopher (Kristina) Lambert, Heidi (Tom) Persson, Scott (Heather) Lambert, Jeff (Kristi) Lambert, Craig DeMuth, Molly DeMuth, Caleb Lambert, Mariah Lambert, Ryan Lambert and Travis Lambert; seven great-grandchildren, Michael, Jordan, Kaylee, Brody, Deegan, London and Charli; Lorraine's children, Frank (Fran) Vincent, Mike (Norma) Vincent and Mary Dionne; other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary; three brothers and three sisters, Clifford, Irvin, Herbert, Helen, Alvina and Geraldine.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, 645 S. Irwin Ave. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with Father Patrick Gawrylewski OFM officiating. Burial will be in Nicolet Memorial Gardens. Jerry's family offers special thanks to Angels Touch Assisted Living with deep gratitude to Sheila Steinfeldt for all she did to arrange for our father to be there and to Amanda Steinfeldt for her special kindness and comfort. Thank you also to those who worked so hard during Dad's final journey from Hospice Advantage.
