Spychalski, Hilda E.

Hilda E. Spychalski, 81, Green Bay, died Monday, February 17, 2014. She was born May 4, 1932, in Chicago, IL to Nicholas and Katherine (Alt) Lieb. Hilda was raised by John and Lena Siebold.

On August 18, 1956, she married Casimir "Casey" Spychalski at Assumption B.V.M. Catholic Church in Pulaski. Between the years on 1951 to 1957 she taught school in Crivitz and Pulaski. Hilda was a teacher and Instructional Aide at St. John the Baptist School from 1968 until her retirement in October of 2002. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Parish, a charter member of the Duck Creek VFW Auxiliary Post #7534, a member of Red Hat Ladies, and a volunteer for Special Olympics.

Hilda is survived by her five children, James (Linda) Spychalski, Dean (Connie) Spychalski, Jackie Goffard, Allen (Robin) Spychalski, Ken (Robyn) Spychalski; ten grandchildren, Jessica (Craig), Jennifer (Matt), James (Katrina), Brad (Molly), Angie, Alec, Emily, Cole, Ryan, and Evan; and three great-grandchildren, Bennett, Kennedy and Crystal.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Casey; her step-parents, John and Lena Siebold; her parents, Nicholas and Katherine Lieb; her sister, Margaret Lieb; and brother, Nicholas Lieb.

Friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave. (one quarter mile east of the corner of Cardinal Ln. and Glendale Ave.), from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the church with Rev. John Bergstadt officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
