Mancoske, James L.
James L. Mancoske, age 67 of Appleton, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013 with his family by his side. He was born March 1, 1946 to the late Clem and Marie (Harlow) Mancoske in Green Bay. On June 7, 1969, he married Diane Stebane.
Jim was a very hard-working man. Out of high school, he enlisted in the Army and spent three years stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. Upon his return to the states, he began his long career as a pipe-fitter. In his free-time, however, Jim enjoyed deer hunting with his best friend Gary and was a part of the Maple Grove Hunting Club. He also liked fishing and had a passion for anything with wheels. He "collected" lawn mowers and tractors and enjoyed attending car and tractor shows. He also loved traveling with his friend Joe.
Jim is survived by his wife of over 43 years, Diane; his son, Michael (Robin) Mancoske; his brother Robert (Mary) Mancoske; his mother-in-law, Betty Stebane; sisters-in-law: Carol (James) Nushart; Beverly (Bob) Heisler; Sharon (Jerome) Fischer; and brother-in-law, Robert (Judy) Stebane. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Rita and her husband, James McConnell; and father-in-law, Albert Stebane.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5:30 P.M. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Holy Spirit Church, 600 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly, with Fr. Dave Beaudry officiating.
