Jean A. Pirlot Obituary
Pirlot, Jean A.

Jean A. Pirlot, 87, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 after a hard-fought battle with breast cancer. Daughter of the late Silas and Agnes (Vincent) Flavion, Jean grew up in Green Bay and worked in the shipyards during WWII. While working at Schreiber Cheese, she met and married James J. Pirlot, who preceded her in death on September 20, 1983.

Jean loved to read, enjoyed crocheting and was a keen card player. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to their stories of daily life. She was most proud of her grandson, Steve, and was looking forward to his upcoming marriage.

Throughout her life, Jean deeply touched the lives of those around her, more than she ever knew. She looked after friends and family in need and helped in any way she could. Her bright smile, sense of humor and independent spirit will be sadly missed.

Surviving Jean are her four daughters: Linda Pirlot, Alameda, Calif.; Judy (Mike) Dugan, Green Bay; Diane Pirlot, Green Bay, and Debbie (Kevin) Schwab, De Pere; one grandson, Steve (Kara Moore) Pirlot, New Berlin; one sister, Mina Krueger, Green Bay; her sisters- and brothers-in-law, LaVerne (Bill) Warbritton, Rita (Peter) Jauquet, and Kay Rogers; and many nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Jim; her parents and Jim's parents; her siblings Pat (Erv) Rentmeester, Harvey (Betty) Flavion, and Phil (Harold) Barth; her brother-in-law, Herb Krueger; Jim's siblings Pete Pirlot, Richard (Carol) Rogers and Jerry Rogers; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call from 2 - 6 p.m. Sunday, March 24th, at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. A Requiem Mass in the Traditional Latin Rite will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 25th, at St. Joseph Chapel on the Green Bay Catholic Diocesan grounds, 1825 Riverside Dr. with Canon Andreas Hellmann, Sovereign Priest of the Institute of Christ the King, officiating.
