Joseph R. Warrichaiet, 86, of Shay Lake in Oconto County passed away on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay. The son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Russell Warrichaiet was born May 27, 1926 in Green Bay. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Army. On October 22, 1949, he was married to Sophie Kozlowski at Little Suamico. The couple resided in Two Rivers for 4 years and then moved to Green Bay. Joe was a maintenance engineer for Standard Oil Company for Northeastern Wisconsin. Following his retirement, the couple moved to Shay Lake. His wife preceded him in death on Dec. 3, 1995. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Coleman. Joe was an avid sportsman and enjoyed dancing. Surviving are three sons; Mark (Lauri) of Phoenix, AZ; Mike (Keri) of Oconto, and Keith (Nancy) of Green Bay; 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; special friend, Arlene Rocheleau of Coleman; 3 brothers; Melvin (Janet) of Coleman, Francis (Betty) and Vernon (Connie) all of Oconto; 2 sisters; Doris Borkovec of Oconto and Julianna (Jerry) Strom of Spenser, WI; 1 brother-in-law, Eugene Karcz of Green Bay; 1 sister-in-law, Angie Kozlowski of Milwaukee; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents and wife, Sophie, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kayla Warrichaiet; 3 brothers; Russell, Milton, and Valentine; and 2 sisters; Jean Garrigan and Arzella Whitcomb. Relatives and friends may call at St. Anne Catholic Church, 228 E. Main St., Coleman after 9:00 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 29th until time of service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at the church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Celestine Byekwaso officiating.
