Waln, Larry M.

Larry M. Waln, 69, Pembine, Wis., passed away on Sept. 17, 2013, at Marquette General Hospital. Larry was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, April 21, 1944, to Max and Eulalia Waln. Larry graduated from Madison West High School and spent two years at Coe College in Cedar Rapids studying Criminology. Larry then enlisted in the Marine Corps as a tank crewman. After the Marines, Larry became a Police Officer and worked several years for the Town of Madison. He then transferred to the City of Milwaukee Police Department, where he retired in 1996 after 20 years of service. Larry lived out his last years in Pembine, where he enjoyed fishing and karaoke with friends. Larry is survived by his three children, Kendis, Sarah, and Max and two grandchildren, Blake and Cain.

Family and friends are invited to join at the Pembine Cemetery Friday, Oct. 4, at 5 p.m. for a burial ceremony. All are invited to gather after at the "Paris in Pembine" Restaurant, N18727 Sauld St, Pembine, Wis.
