Aragona, Mary "Elaine"

Mary "Elaine" Aragona, 62, Green Bay, WI passed away on Monday March 10, 2014, surrounded by her husband and children after a courageous seven year battle with ovarian cancer. Elaine was born in Houston, TX on January 3, 1952, and grew up in Corpus Christi, TX. She was the daughter of Mary Eleanor and William G. Robb.

Elaine attended Tuloso-Midway High School in Corpus Christi, TX and graduated from Conroe High School in Conroe, TX, in the Class of 1970. She was active in high school sports including field and track, basketball and softball. She attended Texas Women's University in Denton, TX on a basketball scholarship. On November 27, 1971, Elaine married Robert "Bob" Aragona in Conroe. In 1971, they began a series of moves starting in New York, with Virginia, Maryland and Vermont in between, to finally settle in Green Bay, WI in 2005. While in Virginia and Maryland she raised their two children, Keith and Michelle and then had a sales career working in real estate and fine jewelry. She was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish.

Elaine was a strong, loving and compassionate person with a wonderful sense of humor. She loved spending time with her children and adored her grandchildren. She made so many wonderful friends through Newcomers and Neighbors, and Oneida Golf and Country Club. Elaine loved to play golf and bridge, take trips to see her children, grandchildren and family, and take golf vacations across the country with her husband, Bob. She also enjoyed reading, sewing (especially pajamas for her grandchildren) and simply spending time with her friends.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Bob Aragona, Green Bay; her two children and their spouses, Keith M. Aragona and his wife, Ban, of Ann Arbor, MI; and Michelle S. (Aragona) and her husband, Matthew C. Nicholls, of Rexford, NY; her four grandchildren, Isabella, Ethan, and Grace Nicholls and Dominic Aragona. Also surviving are her mother, Mary Eleanor Robb; her brothers, William G. Robb, Jr. and his wife, Coleen; and John R. Robb and his wife, Carol.

She was preceded in death by her father, William G. Robb.
