Robert J. "Bob" Golueke, 94, longtime Green Bay resident, died Wednesday, February 26, 2014. He was born February 11, 1920, in Marinette to Otto and Amelia (Schneider) Golueke.

Bob served his country in the U.S. Army from 1940 until 1945 and earned the rank of Technical Sergeant as well as a Bronze Star for his service. On November 15, 1942, he married Olive T. "Peggy" Desmond in Baltimore, MD. She preceded him in death on August 7, 2007. Bob was employed by the Federal Aviation Agency in the Flight Service Office for many years retiring in 1975. He was active in the community for many years. Bob was a member of St. Joseph Parish where he was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the American Legion Sullivan Wallen Post #11, Blind Veterans Association, Knights of Columbus-Council #617, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Loyal of Moose #801, as well as a former member of B.P.O.E. Lodge #259.

Bob enjoyed biking, volunteering at the St. Vincent de Paul Society, golfing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and John Lassila, Barbara and Brad Mommaerts, all of Green Bay; Susan and Jeffrey Rohrer, Kewaskum; six grandchildren and their spouses, Chad (Heidi) Lassila, Jake (Brooke) Lassila, Robb (Maureen) Mommaerts, Dan (Tiffany) Mommaerts, Jessica (Mike) McLaughlin, Melissa Rohrer; 11 great-grandchildren, Zoe, Nieve, Audrey, Madelyn, Danica, Levi, Allison, Nicholas, Dawson, Kellen, Gavin; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy; his parents; and two brothers, Eugene "Bud" and Clarence Golueke.

Friends may call at St. Joseph Catholic Church, corner of Ninth Street and Twelfth Avenue from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. Donald Everts officiating. Full Military Honors will follow the Mass.
