Smith, Thomas James
Thomas James Smith, 68, Gresham, Wis., passed away Oct. 7, 2013, at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center with family at his side. Tom (Jim) was born Sept. 11, 1945, in Brookville, Penn., to the late Thomas M and Bernice G. Smith.
Tom (Jim) graduated from Brookville Area High School in 1965. He Joined the Navy to serve his Country. After his discharge from the Navy he returned to Brookville where he worked for a number of years at Brockway Glass. In 1973, he moved to Milwaukee, Wis., to attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) where he received his degree in Computer Technology. He was employed by Raytheon Data Systems for a number of years.
After retiring he enjoyed traveling with Laureen and spending their time with Family and Friends.
Tom (Jim) is survived by his significant other, Laureen Neitzel, Gresham, Wis.; his two sisters, Patricia Saylor, Sligo, Penn.; Mary Jane Kitchen, Ruckersville, Va.; brother, Ronald Smith (Sandie), Mukwonago, Wis,; brother-in-law, John Kwasnik, Chesterfield, Mich.; and nieces and nephews, Susan, Brenda, Bridget, David, Rodney, John Thomas, Frank Edward and Gregory.
He was preceded in death by His parents, Thomas M and Bernice G Smith; his older sister, Shirley Kwasnik; and brother-in-law, Frank Saylor.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 2013, at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center Chapel, 5000 W National Ave, Milwaukee, Ws. A second service will be held at the McKinney Funeral home, 345 Main St Brookville, Penn. (Date and Time to be determined). Burial will be at Lakelawn Memorial Park, in Reynoldsville, Penn.
