Chief Master Sergeant Ret. Albert C. Hopf

Greenville

Chief Master Sergeant Ret. Albert C. Hopf, 87, of Greenville, husband of Constance Hopf, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012.

Born in Belmont, NY, he was a son of the late Charles and Martha Hopf.

Mr. Hopf was a highly decorated U.S. Air Force WWII veteran in the CBI Theater and retired from G.E. Gas Turbine. He was a member of Church of the Redeemer, and American Leigon; VFW. Mr. Hopf loved his family.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 64 years, are a daughter, Tammy Gerber and husband, Jeffrey, of Simpsonville; two sons, Richard Hopf and wife, Betty, of Simpsonville and Gary Hopf of Tajikastan, Central Asia; two grandchildren, Natasha L. Higgins and Patrick A. Hopf; and two great grandchildren, Avery Rose Higgins and Naomi Rae Higgins.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Rudolph Hopf.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Monday, December 10, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Gardens in the Mausoleum Chapel. A memorial service will follow.
