Bill Jordan, 91, widow of Betty Sue West Jordan, passed away February 10, 2014.

Born in Roda, Virginia, he was the son of the late Daniel and Esther Jordan. He served in the US Army during World War II as a Military Policeman. After the war he attended and graduated from Furman University with a degree in Education.

His career spanned many years in Greenville County Schools. He began his journey as Coach at Paris High School. Then his administrative track led him to Principalship at Carolina High School, San Souci Junior High School, Parker High School and Director of Enoree Vocational School.

Bill was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Growing roses and flowers was a passion that he shared with his loving wife.

He was a member of Buncombe Street United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his daughter, Linda Nicha Jordan, of Spartanburg and four sisters.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 14, 2014 from 1:00 - 1:45pm at The Mackey Mortuary. Private services will follow the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon Street, Greenville, SC 29605.
